The wind and its many powers, good & bad . The call of freedom, riding the skys.
Standing on a hill so high,
I felt the wind pass me by.
A part of me yearned to be free,
when the wind whispered "follow me".
Following my desire I dive,
hopeing alls well and I survive.
Effortlessly and smoothly I glide,
trusting this wind at my side.
Over pastures, hills, and gullies we fly,
heading up towards a darkening sky.
A vortex with lightening and thunder drew near,
filling me with dread and a whole lotta fear.
It was awesome in all its power and strength,
twisting and churning along its great length.
"Enough, enough" I cried to the wind at my side,
"I am all through with this tumultuious ride".
Setting me down in a wind swept hollow,
she still begged for me to follow.
picking leaves and twigs from off my head,
I said " no thanks" and went home to my bed.
