The true gift has been given, so what is there to wish for?
Nothing More

People are so loving,
and yet, love is so overlooked.
Love is so easily said, but
not as easily felt,
so easily given,
but not so easy to keep giving.

Some people are so foolish,
as to wish for more for love.
Some are so foolish
as to ask for something more from love.

I’ll tell you what I want.
I yearn for the warmth of your smile, and
for the pureness of your love.
I long for your heart,
as to you I’ve given mine.

Most of all, I wish
I wish for nothing more
nothing more
than to hear you say
“I love you, too.”
