a poem to a friend of mine
A smile.
A laugh.
A simple happy emotion.
This makes me glad.

Your my friend
and I love you.
I want to see you happy.
I cant stand to see you crying.

I wish I could protect you
from anything that could hurt you.
I wish I could shield you
from the hurt and the pain.

Even though I cant do this
I can try somethin else
I can try to keep a smile on your face.
I can try to heal your open wounds and the pain.

With a tender hand
I hope I can touch your heart
And hold your hand
as you walk through the dark.
