Jesus' Rock

Upon this rock was built a place
Where God provides us all His Grace
A hallowed hall of peace and love
A sanctum where a soul can heal

Cathedral filled with colored light
The candles brightly burn tonight
The rites from times long past reveals
Belief in life beyond this flesh.


Author's Note: An exercise in Iambic meter, this piece feels unfinished to me. I will probably rework it, once I have thought about it some more.
