My dreams for 2008.
Dear me,

This year, I'm planning to pursue a fantasy novel I'm currently writing. First, I'll be working on its prequel to design a firm background for this new world...no, rather, to know MORE of this world, as this world is already alive:

 Dark Side  (E)
A prequel to a novel I'm planning to write. Last editted January 24, 2008.

Then I'll continue with the fantasy novel. Right now, it feels like a huge blank tapestry, but little by little the spaces are filled by pieces of jigsaw puzzles.

This year, I will post all the poems I have previously written. I will put them here in this site and have them reviewed so I can rewrite them to better poems. Also, I will take time to review the works of as many people as I can, in a fair and detailed manner, as that is also what I want others to do.

This year, I will join contests in this site, and in others, to help me realize where my skills are at right now, and to realize how much I still need to improve myself, and in which parts I may be lacking. I know I will meet people who are better than me, who are far beyond me, who are probably the best in their niche right now, but I will not give up at aiming for the top.

This year, I will help other people improve their writing by providing honest feedbacks--brave enough to show which areas still need improvement, yet gentle enough to encourage them to continue writing.

This year, I'm going to find a writing job, whether it's a freelance job or not, so I can exercise and enhance my skills in writing. I have started applying in various online companies, and I'm happy to find that at least some of them have showed some interest.

This year, I will take one more step towards my dream of becoming...

...the greatest writer in the world!

The Progress
1. Working on the fantasy novel prequel
Finally got it posted here, and now I'm receiving some positive reviews from different authors.

January 29, 2008, posted it in various writing sites and received good feedback for improvement.

2. Continue with the fantasy novel
Still sorting the various scenes I've written before...

3. Post all the poems I have previously written
Posted my poems, as well as the lyrics of songs I've written and recorded before.

4. Join contests
Joined Ramon Magsaysay Awardee Foundation Essay writing contest at www.rmaf.org.ph.
Planning on joining some local song writing competition contests.
At Writing.Com, submitted my poetry to the following contests:
A Mended Heart Poetry Contest, A Broken Heart Poetry Contest, GP GIFTERS NEWBIE POETRY CHALLENGE.

January 29, 2008: The deadline of the RMAF essay is tomorrow! Finalizing it. :)

5. Help other people improve their writing
I have been spending some of my free time to really rate and review works of authors here. I started my own forum to accept requests for reviews.

January 28, 2008: joined WDC Angels

6. Find a writing job
I bid on various free lance sites for writing jobs, as well as sent my resume to a writing company. Still on the process of being screened for acceptance. More news by the first week of February!

January 29, 2008: I was asked to write an essay, I need to submit it by February 2. I have to finish it immediately. Good luck to me!
