A Still Life Frame

Solemn side streets and parking lots,
home never seems the same
and all that's left is still life,
an image in a frame.

I need a friend to save my soul,
to hear my plea for life,
bring me to a gentle place
where no one lives in strife.

Save me from my own mistakes,
bring me to the fold,
take me to a higher place
where love is all I'll hold.
