This is a poem written about the boy I love and always will love but I wont wait forever.
Head over heels and you tell me
To hang on a little longer
The waiting gets harder
Trust me. I know that.
Please make room for me
Because I know that I'm happy in your hands
I'm usually hard to hold onto
My dreams are still dreams
But I guess there is no easy way to say this,
You are breaking my heart and it sinks deep down because it's tired of holding
If all you're gonna do is leave...I'm not going to wait forever
Because you just say the things I wanna hear
You and your twisted words just hurt me but still...
You convinced me to keep loving you
But just promnise me you will leave the light on
To help me see that you are never going to change
I've been telling my dreams to this paper
About this love I have been dreaming about my whole life
I pray and ask: is he ever going to come around
I'm kinda afraid because I know you feel the same way
Everyone keeps telling me I've got time
But how do I wait for someone who's right in front of me?
You have been away for a while now
I'm still loving you the same way
The rain is falling and now I can cry
Noone will ever know
You say give it time and it will be alright
But I have heard that so many times
We are falling apart. You are tearing me apart.
Even though I've been waiting for you to come
It's hard because I feel so alone
I just want you to come, hold me, and tell me it will be alright
Tell me that and mean it with your whole heart
You have stolen my heart and I can't get it back
No matter how hard I try
From the first day to the last day you will always have it
So sleep well
Knowing that you have carved your name on my heart and I cannot get it out.
