poem about the end of a relationship
The ramblings of a tortured soul,
of my pain,
I pray you'll never know
of what has been
and what will be,
in my misery you'll surely see.

A black heart;
cold as ice
love, you see
was not nice.

If it's not working,
and doesn't feel right;
is it love?
You best think twice.

Don't let someone
drag you down.
I should have learned,
the first time around.

Now I know
I should have let go,
but lessons of the past
sometimes, are hard to grasp.

As with hindsight
it's now clear to me,
that what we had
should never be.
