alone, sorrow, regrets
      I face my enemies
cold and afraid.
    Still, I stand here.

All my troubles,
all my fears,
gaze silently back from
within the mirror.
      Still, I stand here.

I turn away unable to face
the choices I make.
Body shaking,
short of breathe,
ghostly figure,
name bares death.
      Still, I stand here.

My mind is clouded
by doubts and confusion.
through the chaos
I sort and struggle,
must not fail,
must find a conclusion.
        Still, I stand here.
