Random Poetry. Old.
Innumerable golden dawns blossom before us
days grow and fade
while in this eden of your embrace
but here jealous angels gather on the wing
savoring, pining for this moment
I share with you.
but I worship not the god
of these black-winged vultures-
smooth, ebony feathers drifting down around us
but too soon you leave my arms
and I must awake
to an empty bed and bitter coffee,
to rain dripping down outside my window.
Yet no sadness can touch this tenderness
cause these inscriptions,
like tattoos on the soul,
will endure cold eons of the heart.
and if the sun will rise but for us alone
I am happy to spend each night
dreaming of you
