Cultural Norms and their Effects on the Individual
Societal norms,
Keep my movement constricted,
My ambitions are banned,
Forbidden; restricted,
But wait,
Clear the slate,
For it’s not yet to late,
One is,
After all,
Not bound to one’s fate,
Because fate’s just a word,
Another construction,
Being bound to a sound,
Is pointless obstruction,
I’ll live as I wish,
And I won’t let them win,
I’ll live life’s true pleasures,
I’ll lie and I’ll sin,
Then closing the door,
I’ll yell and I’ll roar,
Because freely I’ll soar,
Feet far from the floor,
Myself I’ll adore,
My own to the core,
No longer a whore,
To a
System
