I wrote this about my family.
They will wear black

A sorrow voice whispers in her ear
Gives her peace
Lets her sleep through the night

I wish I could be honest
Tell you it won’t be truth and harmony
Its like a hang over
Waiting for you to wake up

The only thing worse then wearing a mask
Is believing it's your real skin
There is always someone to blame
Someone to point the finger to

We all linger around
Watch you try to understand
And we all wait
For the funeral

Where your soul is
I don’t think anyone knows
Their souls were lost in a struggle
A struggle to win the holy trophy

They will wear their tears
Of course they love you
But it’s the sympathy they ache for

They will wear black
Of course they respect you
But it’s the attention they need

I will stand at the back
And I won’t say a word
