The peace I find in my God.
I step into your presence
I come before you now
The lion and the lamb
I stand in awe before them
The great I AM
Amazement becomes me
Seeping into my sences
It's their glory I see
My King.
I strive to go all the way
A rough life is what I bear
But they sence my aching heart
I don't realize it's my pain they share
Yet they're prepared to help
I fight for courage
I give up and let go
Stepping before them I'm bare
They wait, they listen
To the words of my heart
and are patient for my sound
Finally
I beg them for strenght
The strength that is produced
from the joy of Him before me.
He questions the reasons of my request.
Gun shots explode in my mind
for reasons I don't understand
words are constantly repeating
that suck out life.
It seems as though I'm blind
To the hope before me
I can't handle the struggle
My thoughts come out in tears
Words are caged in my closed mouth
My reasons are unspeakable.

How do I leave this world?
How can I avoid this life?
I'm struggling

I try to push my hardest
yet I can't move.
I'm frozen with fear.
Or this overwhelming pain.
I know I'm standing in my own way.

He offers a comforting hand
He helps me to my feet
And wipes away the haunting tears
He understands my pain
He knows how rough it is
to live in this world
as an Alien.

He presents his love to me
To give me strength
Whispers guidence to me
And promises protection
Through the length
of my life that is His.

"Let my peace be your's," he says
Whenever desire seeths
into my life
and I long to give up.

He opens my eyes
Allows them to glance around
I still live in a black world
In a forgotten generation
Yet something's changed
I can no longer worry,
I can no longer fear
What this world has in store for me
I'll follow His plan
I'll follow His light
I'll follow His peace
And give it all to him
at the foot of the cross.
