Life is a battle. Will you win?
As da seasons change so I.
And I find myself wondering why,
Trudge on through all this pain?
Praying for just a little sunshine, receiving only rain.
I have questions I can't seem to get an answer to.
Simple questions like what's going on? What should I do?
Where are you?
My smile so easily turns to a frown.
My words come out in anger, sounding like a growl,
And I moan and I groan,
For everybody to just leave me alone.
If they will.
Anger built up inside got me wanting to kill,
Everybody that's ever wronged me,
But i keep my composure because i like being free.
In body because it show ain;t in mind.
If you're not careful insanity will bind,
You in shackles and chains, not remembering your name,
Or worse.....From whence you came.
The struggle is not over, it's only just began.
I journey alone because there's no such thing as a friend.
At least that's how it seems to be.
The weight of the world is what I carry around with me,
But it's o'kay, I still smile.
Try to go that extra mile.
I learned you have to be hard in these streets.
Never accepting defeat,
Because when I finally win the war, my victory's complete.
Is your's?
