My first real attempt at any decent poetry. I found it to be a quite successful first try.
Surrounded by night,
You possess the only candle
to bring a light to the site,
of the fight you must lose.

On your left is nothing,
You don't look at your right.
You just keep on pushing...
Your might turned to fright.

Your arms are now bound.
Your dignity taken.
Your soul, lost but not found.
Your life, an understatement.

A murderous crusade,
Through the land of the dead.
Your mind a blockade,
A ferocious beast, extremely well fed

A deathly entity
Slithering in the dark
Constantly haunting me
It has no heart

Another hit,
Another lie
No more feelings,
Impossible to cry

Impossible to get out,
Impossible to fly
Stuck in this hell
Impossible to die

Why can't you save me?
Theres nothing to save
You're alone here friend
Alone in this maze

And to leave you here
Alone in this abyss
Is all i want.
I do not forgive.
