This is a short poem that will probably make no sense to you whatsoever. But oh well.
Do you remember?

The darkness of your blazer was warm
Head against head, inspired art form
We didn’t care, we didn’t know
All we wanted was for time to slow
The wheels were going on and on
And we kept singing David’s song

A friendship structured in nine years
Pretty and nasty and full of tears
Unpleasant is the word to mind
But maturity’s been ever so kind
Solidified by realisation
We could be damned by the whole stupid nation

But we wouldn’t care, we wouldn’t know
All we wanted was for time to slow

Will you remember?
