This is my first attempt at various haikus. Please tell me if I am on the right track.
From the distant past
a memory comes to mind
sweet reminiscence.

Dawn streaks across skies
Colors the far horizon
A new beginning.

Blood arcs red across
Clinical white walls, and then
Runs down to puddle.

Lemon fragrance floats
Carried by the dancing breeze
Stops to linger sweet.

Whispers in the dark,
Teasing pleasing small white lies,
Two smiles – satisfied.

Sun heats pristine snow
Winter cracks its icy face
Buds thrive - warm embrace.

Swiftly comes the dark
To end yet another day
Closer to our death.
