A narrative that tells of the cruellest parting, the boundary that cannot be crossed.
I can feel my heartbeat slow
Lost in something close to sorrow
I can touch my skin and say
That I will breathe my last today

But when I’ve left you, draped in shame
Beyond the veil of death and pain
Something flutters in your breast
Unknown to you hope buys my death

Tears wet my cheeks, I watch you cry
This must be the last goodbye
I hear a voice “remember me”
And life is just a memory

I leave you now to weep alone
Hoping you will carry on
