This is my stretch your style whitney poem.
Fruit Bowl


Vine of grapes
green, plump, juicy
ripe oranges
nectar dripping
bananas
ivory disks
winter's luscious tree candy

I long for
a fresh fruit bowl
however
that overflows
with something
that is different
from winter's dreary sameness

Where are the
various reds
from summer
that tantalize
my taste buds
with their sweet juices
and cause my mouth to water
