Being sick is hard...keeping hope is harder...it's easier to let go
Light....

White...blinding light

A hand in mine....

Hushed voices....

Fingers going restlessly through my hair....

A gasp somewhere near my head....

A sob....

Yes...I am awake...

I made it....

Perhaps it is not so hopeless after all...

There is still a long way to go but....

There is hope....

There is hope....

Maybe...who knows...

There may be recovery...

I close my eyes knowing that....

Yes there is hope....

I am not alone....
