A letter from a granddaughter to her grandmother up above.
Dear Grandma

Dear Grandma, how are things up there?
Are you happy and full of joy?
Is the wind dancing with your hair?
Is the sunshine filling the void?

Dear Grandma, I miss the way you smiled,
And how it reached into your eyes.
I miss the way you laughed,
And feeling the joy I couldn't deny.

Dear Grandma, do you miss me too?
Or is watching over me enough?
Everything I know reminds me of you.
How hard it is trying to be tough.

Dear Grandma, Mother is hurting a great deal,
Not being able to hear your voice.
I can't imagine what she could feel,
Knowing she doesn't have a choice.

Dear Grandma, summer will be coming soon.
How memories of a past summer haunts.
We could have talked to the moon,
We could have done anything we want.

Dear Grandma, it's time again to part.
How it hurt the first time.
Tonight I will sleep close to your heart,
Because you will forever be in mine.

With more love than ever,
Your Granddaughter
