A poem depicting me, experiencing moments of intenseness with myself.

I would not be able to remember,
the number of sighs you caused.
Those feelings of helplessness,
experiences I will not forget.

As I take a deep breath,
and I think of you with hope,
I quickly expel it in self-pity,
as I see the impracticality.

A numb fear passes through,
like a current that could kill,
as the mind goes blank,
before I experience intenseness.

That feeling of loneliness,
the involuntary twitch,
the knitting of brows,
the sudden hiccup,
that lump in the throat,
that welling of eyes,
that blurring of vision,
the soft overflow,
that wetness on the cheeks,
its slow descent,
the uncontrollable sob,
that feeling of tiredness,
that momentary pause,
before it starts again...

another moment of intenseness,
with myself!
