Will our friends be waiting for us?
Remember all of the precious times that we've had?
How we talked, laughed, cried, and played?
Even when we got frustrated,
Inseparable we always stayed.

You were always so strong,
I envied your control and grace.
In your eyes nothing went wrong,
I can still picture your determined face.

Remember when I was the new kid in first grade?
You welcomed me with open arms.
It was then that this unbreakable bond had been made.
Together we remained through life's tragic storms.

You probably already know,
That it won't be long till' we meet again.
I'm a little scared and not ready to go.
I was hoping that you could guide me once again.

When I reach God's titanic ocean of glory,
Will you wait at the golden gaits to greet me?
Please hold my hand and wipe my tears of worry.
Spread your great wings of ivory,
And fill me with understanding and peace.

I'll need you once more to teach and guide me.
I'm anxious to see you.
Love always, DENISE
