A Story about My Dragon Ball Z OC, Cro and The DBZ canon Bura, Goku and Vegeta

"Family Time"
by : Robert Rumery

--------------------

It had been a while since they had split and Cro was in the kitchen. There was a pan of boiling water on the stove. Cro was dumping a box of pasta into the stove two of his kids were in the living-room with there mother. He hadn't split up with Bura. He was thinking about someone else that he once had a relationship with. It was insane to think that way. A few minutes later the noodles softened and than he poured in a few cups of milk and than threw in the seasoning. He than began to stir the pot of pasta.

He glanced out into the living room and a breif smile came over his face. Bura was in the rocking chair, reading one of her dirty romance novels. Those things were trash and almost as bad as porn.
Aries and Bikini were sitting infront of the television with there video game systems. It looked liked Aries was winning. The situation did put a slight smile on his face.

Him and Bura were in there 40's and the kids were almost teens. It was going to be scary when those two hit there teens. He chuckled softly as the smell of freshly cooked macaroni and cheese filled the air.
He didn't burn anything today. He was proud of himself, he grinned proudly at himself.

"Come on, no fair!" Bikini said as she protested and she smashed some buttons with her fingers. A few laser bullets went off as her character was trying to fight back. It did no good. Within a minute she was zapped by Aries's player.

"Booyah, who's the best!!" Aries said as he grinned evily. He pressed the buttons on his controller. He had utterly destroyed Bikin for the millionth time. He knew she was getting sick and tired of losing. It was fun to beat her but he'd let her win one or two out of niceness.

"Now you two behave." Bura said as she closed her book and looked at her children. She set the book down beside the chair and than looked over towards Cro. She had a smile on her face. He had made supper and the house was still standing she was very impressed.

It had been a while since he had been a teenager and he missed it. He walked over to one of the cupboards and pulled out four dishes. He walked over to the table and set the places. He already had the forks set in the right places, he had saved a place for the food.

He took the handles of the large pot of macaroni and cheese. It was still pipeing hot. The steam was coming out the top of the pot. He set the pot down on the table. There was a pot holder on the table. He placed the pot on that. If he hadn't. He would have heard it from Bura.

"I think your father has dinner done." Bura said as she looked over at her kids. They were still playing video games. They probably were ignoring her.

"Uh-huh." Aries and Bikin said and there eyes were still glued to the television. Nothing was going to stop them from playing video-games.

Bura sighed and got up and walked out into the kitchen. She saw that Cro was still standing by the kitchen table, she tip toed up behind of him. She was that he was dishing out the food onto plates. She smiled softly. He had made the perfect father. There were spots were he needed work but everyone needs work on something. She was going to jump him. She thought she shouldn't. She just stood a few feet away from him. She admired him, still to this day.

He was being quiet for once and whistling softly to himself. He dished out the food. One plate for him, one for Bura, and two plates for the kids. He could feel someone behind him, like they were creeping up on him. It was most likely Bura but he was ignoring her right now. He plopped out the final portion of the food. He turned around and saw Bura. He smiled and walked towards her.

"Hi, honey." Cro said as he kissed her cheek.
"You didn't burn anything." Bura said as she smiled slyly. "Maybe all those cooking lessons with my mom payed off." Bura added as she winked at him.
"Har-har." Cro said as he walked past Bura.

The smell of the food had reached the living-room. Aries and Bikini were still engrossed in there video-game. They grunted as they played it. They noticed the smell of the food and than they dropped there controllers and walked out into the kitchen and than walked over to the dinner table and sat down in there chairs.

Bura had made her way over to the table. She sat down in her regular spot. Her spot was right beside of Cro's chair. It was odd how they had meet. If it wasn't for her father they wouldn't be here. They wouldn't be married. They wouldn't have these beautiful kids. She owed alot to her father.

Cro had opened the fridge and he took out a pitcher of iced-tea. He than walked over to the dishwasher and took out four cups. He was balancing them with the pitcher of iced-tea. He walked over to the table and set the pitcher of iced-tea down next to the pot of mac and cheese. He than placed all the glasses on the table. One for him, Bra, Aries and Bikini. He than finally sat down. He was sitting down next to Bura and than started pouring himself a drink.

It had been a while since they could all sit down like this. There was usually something happening that kept them busy and apart. It seemed like West City was always getting attacked by something. If it wasn't Freiza or Cell. It was a bank robbing or something.
Cro had stuck his fork into his mac and cheese and he than started to shovel it into his face. Parts of the mac and cheese went flying around him. Some of it hit Bura in the face. He didn't have many manners. When they were dating he pretended to have manners so she'd date him.

Well he actually tried to be a gentleman. It kind of failed. He just had to be himself. If people didn't like hhim like that, well than that was too bad. He continued to shovel his food into his mouth as fast as he could. He looked over and saw Bura, and the kids looking at him sorta shocked.

"What?" Cro asked with a mouth filled with food.
"Nothing, dear." Bura said as she rolled her eyes and wiped her mouth with a napkin.
"Your a slob." Bikini said rolling her eyes as well.
"I'm not gonna say anything." Aries said as he sat there and began to eat the mac and cheese.

"Well.. I was hungry!" Cro said trying to defend himself.
"I know, dear." Bura said chuckling slightly.

They first official date wasn't this bad thou. If his memories are correct. They went to some cheesy high priced resturant. He couldn't even get through the whole meal. Some large lizard attacked the city that day and he had to go fight it. Thank god, Bura had an understanding heart. He never thought he could find a love like this. His past was anything but pleasant.
The only child that had survived the attack on his planet. Orphaned at the age of 6. Most of his life he just floated around in space trying to stay alive.

He always thought about the past. He than picked up his glass and took a sip off of it. He looked around. He was surprised Goku or Vegeta weren't barging in while they tried to have supper. That was there style. It was mostly Vegeta's style. Goku always knew where the meals were it was kinda funny.

"Did you hear that dear?" Bura asked.
"What?" He asked he was day dreaming again.
"Bikini got an A in spelling this week!" Bura said announcing it proudly.
"Cool." He said while nodding and smiling.
"Well.. Dad. We gotta train this weekend. The Junior Division Tournament is only two months away!" Aries said smiling with wide eyes.
"Alright. That sounds like fun. I'm looking forward to it." Cro said smiling softly.
"Me and Bikini are going shopping this weekend, then." Bura said smiling as she looked over to her daughter. Right now Bikini was all smiles.

That was another thing. Bura's shopping goddess aura. That could keep evil doers away from the town for life. Cro dished himself out some more mac and cheese and this time he at politely. He gribbed his cup and than picked it up and took a sip off of it. A few minutes passed and he saw the kids had gotten done eating. They had emptied there plates and put them in the sink. The dishwasher was filled with clean dishes.

"This is nice." Bura said as she finished her dinner.
"I know." Cro added as he finished his third platefull of Mac and Cheese.
"No, fighting, no enemies.. Most importantly no Vege--" Cro said in mid setance.

"Kakarott! I told you. I knew were my daughter lived! It's your crappy driving skills is why were late!" Vegeta said growling as he got out of Goku's hover-car and slammed the door as hard as he can.

"But Vegeta!" Goku said protesting as he got out of the car and shut the door. He rolled his eyes at The Saiyan Prince. It's been the same since they meet. Vegeta was the grumpy one and he was the nice one. Well he was nice most of the time.
"I just hope they're home." Vegeta said as he walked up the steps. He pressed the doorbell with his finger and it rang.
"Of course they'll be home." Goku said as he walked up the steps behind of Vegeta.
"Ugh." Cro said as he swallowed his last bite.

He would love it if they didn't come over so much. Since this place wasn't getting attacked. All of them were trying to act like one big family. He loved all the togetherness but this was kinda annoying. He wanted to spend the night with Bura. Alone! He knew that wasn't going to happen. It was only 6 in the evening anyways. They had to go home sometime. He grinned at that thought. It was a rather evil grin.

"I'll get it. It's probably Isan anyways." Bura said as she got up and pushed in her chair.
"That's what I'm afraid of." Cro said as he got up and took his and Bura's dish to the sink. He started to run water and plugged the sink. He squirted some strawberry scented soup into the sink and watched it fill.

"Oh don't be like that. You know you love my father." Bura said as she walked by him. As s he did this she stuck her tongue at him. As she walked by he playfully smacked her ass and laughed at her.

Bura rolled her eyes at him as she walked out into the living room. She walked a crossed the room and than opened the door. When she opened it she smiled. She couldn't beleive who it was! It was her father and Goku! She looked out behind of them. Where was her mother and Chi-Chi? Had they came alone? Just to spend time with her and her family? That made her happy. She smiled and than invited them in.

"Told you they'd be home Vegeta." Goku said as he walked by Vegeta. He than entered Bura and Cro's home. He walked in and looked around for a minute. He found the couch and he than plopped down on it and began watching the television. It was occupied by "The Great Saiyaman : The Video Game" that Aries and Bikini were playing.

"Hey, daughter." Vegeta said as he came in and gave his daughter a big hug. He than proceded to kiss her on the forehead. He sniffed the air.
He could swear he could smell strawberries. They were soapy strawberries. He than wondered why Bura wasn't doing dishes. He than saw Cro with his hands in the water and was washing dishes.

He did notice that his daughter and his son-in-law did have a nice home.Him and Goku were only over here out of bordem. The wives had gone shopping and there wasn't anything on the television and training was becoming dull anyways. So he thought to come and visit some of his family out of bordem.

It really couldn't be helped. He glanced over at his two grand kids : Aries and Bikini. A small smile came over his face as he walked over and sat in the recliner. He noticed Bura ahd closed the living room door and had retreated to a rocking chair in the corner. He noticed she was reading one of those racy books that Bulma liked to read. Somethings never change.

"Grandpa!" Bikini said as she ran over to Vegeta, wrapped her arms around his neck. She hugged him tightly. A smile spread a crossed her face. She knew Aries was too glued to the game to notice that there grandafather had came over.

"Hey." Vegeta said in his normal emotionles voice. He noticed the girl. She was sitting on his lap and resting her head against his chest. It got him to feel about uneasy. He tried to signal to Goku. It was no use. The television had Goku's attention.

"Oh, you such the ladies man, dad." Bura said as she looked over at her father. She had put the book down once again tonight. She wasn't really into it. It was just something to make the time go by a little faster. She heard the splashing out in the kitchen. She knew it was Cro washing the dishes.

Cro had just got done doing the dishes. He fills the strainer up with the dishes he had just washed. He than reaches for a towel and he drys his hands off. He than pushes a strand of hair out of his face. It was odd not having spikey hair like the other Saiyans.
He liked this hair better thou. He threw the rag onto the drying dishes and than pushed his hands down into the pockets of his blue jeans as he walks over to the archway between the kitchen and living room. He leaned up against the frame and looked at everyone.

Goku was totally pulled in by the video-game. He watched the little people on the screen jump and fight. He couldn't help but notice that some of the characters looked like Gohan and Videl. His eyes were wide with amazement. He hadn't ever seen anything like this before! Sure, Gohan had his video-games. He never really paid attention to them thou. He loved all the fighting in the video game. That was something he and Vegeta hadn't done in a long-time. They hadn't fought nor sparred in a long-time. It was kinda weird. He wondered if he was getting out of shape. He didn't really care now. He watched all the characters dance a crossed the television screen.

Vegeta didn't know what to make of Kakarot right now. It was like he was in a world of his own. He didn't know what to make of the almost sleeping Bikini on his lap. He felt her snuggling against him. He cringed slightly as he felt her moving around on him. He didn't wanna say anything. He was her grandfather. He wasn't going anywhere anytime soon anyways.

"Aww, isn't that cute?" Bura asked as she turned to Cro.
"Yeah. I didn't know Vegeta doubled as bed." Cro answered with a smirk on his fight.
"Be Quiet." Vegeta said as he gritted his teeth and looked over towards Cro and his daughter. He than sent both of them death glares. He could still hear them chuckling over there. He couldn't handle that. Even after all these years with being married to Bulma.

Cro watched all of them. He kinda chuckled on how easy Goku could get sucked into things that were on the television. It really wasn't that long ago when he had meet Goku for the first time. In that time. Cro hadn't been on earth for very long and he was looking for a place to stay and couldn't find one. It was kinda funny. He bunked with Goku for a whole day. Chi-Chi had thrown him out for some reason. He couldn't remember why. It was probably a dumb reason. Something to do with Gohan most likely.

He couldn't help but go back to that time. These were the only good memories he had. A smile crept over his face as he leaned up against the wall and looked at everyone. Goku being mesmorized by Aries's Video Game. Bikini being curled up on Vegeta's chest. Vegeta not liking it one bit. It was very comical. Well he thought it was comical. If Vegeta knew what he thought. Cro would be dead no doubt.

He wondered what his life would be like without them. Would he be so cold like he was as a child? Freiza wrecked his family and child-hood. He blamed the icejin for everything bad or evil that happened to him.
It wasn't all Freiza's fault. He did kill his family. That was the only thing Freiza did. His other decisions hindered his life in someway. He had almost lost Bura because of his obsession with killing Freiza. He glanced over at Bura. He couldn't imagine his life without her.

"What are you thinking about, Cro-kun?" Bura asked as she got up. She walked over to him so she was standing infront of him. She had her arms crossed over her chest. Yet she had a friendly smile on her face.
"Nothing." Cro said as he shook his head. He had a half-grin on his face. Something he picked up from Vegeta. He was still leaning on the wall. His eyes looked at Bura, they scanned her body up and down, and side-to-side.

Maybe having them over tonight wasn't going to be so bad. He walked from the archway over to the couch. He sat down next to Goku he hoped he hadn't disturbed Goku. It didn't even look like Goku noticed that he had sat down beside of him. Cro began to watch the screen closely. He didn't see how Aries and Bikini could play these things for so long.

"Dad, you thirsty?" Bura asked Vegeta as she walked over to the fridge.
"Sure, got beer?" Vegeta asked as he looked over towards Bura.
"No, you get soda, dad." Bura said as she opened the fridge. She pulled out a soda from the open 12 pack of Cola. It was still cold. It was ice cold and than she walked back into the living-room. She handed the soda to her father and noticedsomething. Bikini had passed out ontop of her grandpa. She chuckled softly as she than picked up her daughter in her arms. She walked down the hallway and walked into Bikini's room. Set her down softly on her bed. Shut the lights off and than walked back out into the living-room.

Vegeta sat there being glad the child had gotten off of him. The soda was in his right hand. He lifted the top and it made a popping noise. He than took a sip off of it and than set it on the arm-rest. He than looked at the television. It was a video game. His son, Trunks played those as well. He than looked over towards Bura.

"So anything new?" Vegeta asked.
"Not really." Bura said as she sat in her rocker, with her hands on her lap. "Except. Aries is training this weekend with Cro. Aries has a tourney in a few months. Me and Bikini a re going shopping!" Bura added and announced it as well. She had the typical Shopping Goddess smile on her face.
"Tournament? That might be fine. He'll de fine. He's a Bejita after all." Vegeta said smirking softly.
"A Bejiuar" Bura said correcting him slightly.
"A What?" Vegeta asked with an arched brow.
"A Bejita/Bukar!" Bura said and stuck her tongue out at her father. She was playing with him.
"Oh brother." Vegeta said as he turned his attention to the television once again.

A Few hours than passed. They talked for the whole time. Like usual. Cro didn't say a word. Goku and Vegeta left to go back to there place. 8 in the evening came around and he put Aries to bed and than Bura and Cro could finally have sometime to themselves. He loved having everyone over and up.
He just didn't feel like talking to them tonight. He loved to annoy Vegeta thou. That always made his day. All of the dishes and housework was done and that meant they could have the evening to themselves. Bura was in her chair reading that smutty book again. Cro was laying on the couch watching some t.v. he glanced over towards Bura.

"I love you." Cro said as he looked over towards her.
"What?" Bura asked as she smiled behind of her book.
"I said ' I love you'" Cro answered.
"Oh, love you too." Bura said still grinning hiding behind of her book.

Nothing more was said in the room. Another few hours passed and than it was time for them both to goto bed. He walked down the hallway and than entered his and Bura's room. He was putting new sheets on the bed and unfolded a blanket.
He tucked the blanket in near the foot of the bed. He kicked off his shoes and took off his shirt and pulled off his jeans. He was in a pair of white boxers and jumped into bed.

A few minutes later Bura walked into the bedroom. She was wearing a light blue nightgown. She than slipped into the bed beside of Cro. She noticed that Cro was looking up towards the ceiling.
She wondered if he had anything on his mind. She covered up and put her hand on his chest. That should get his attention.

Cro than looked over at Bura and looked down at his chest. Her hand was firmly on his chest. She must want to know something. She just doesn't put her hand on people's chest just for the fun of it. Well. She might he didn't know and than he turned to her and smiled.

"I'm the luckiest guy on earth." Cro said smiling at her and than he leaned over and kissed her softly.
"Than that makes me the luckiest girl on earth!" Bura said as she kissed him back. She blushed softly. He reached over and turned off there lamplights. He than felt Bura lay her head on his shoulder and put her arms around her waist. He watched her close her eyes. He smiled and closed his eyes. They slept. As they slept they smiled.

The End..
