this poem describes my spiritual feeling, rejecting the world...sort of.
WHEN I HAD TIME TO LOOK INISDE….

When I had time to look inside myself,
I took a look and found
I had lost the bliss of ignorance with childhood,
With the burden of knowledge now I am bound.
The burden of inquiring my every act,
Thinking about the reward and sin,
Oh! The burden of accountability
Leaves me stunned….where to begin?
I am a nitwit,
A self-written personality on a chit,
Specks of parrot-fashion all over the soul,
What use of it if I were an incorporeal spirit?
I am in the gold-rush of the perfect appearance,
Unaware of what my conscience detests,
Maybe she’s becoming holey,
Maybe she has drunk philtre from the same chalice, too.
But day by day, my penchant for religious knowledge
Goes higher and higher and
Sometimes,
The knowledge reprimands my wrong passions.
That, I truly feel is right.
This dark phantom,
Will face its doom
For my trusty spirit says,
“This is nothing but a snag”.
My clandestine peep of myself
Will surely do good to my self…..
Was this a de`ja`vu’….
Because I feel terribly familiar with this emotion.
