Sonnet i threw together for lit class that i happened to like... opinions?? =)
Upon this page I write a brief farewell
A praise of summer days too soon gone by
Of days once filled with joy one cannot tell
Of nights when beauty seemed it would not die.
Our troubles faded out like dying embers
Replaced by senseless love and childlike dreams.
Our worries seemed too fleeting to remember
And everything was always what it seemed.
Now innocence fades with the setting sun.
Our golden summer, like a dream, has passed.
The autumn breeze o’er summer warmth has won,
And time, it seems, must now move on at last.
The trees begin to now burst into shades
And gone is love. Goodbye, September fades.
