A poem for my mother
O mother! O mother! your love is the fountain of my life,
through those times when I lied and I cried.
You were there for me every time I tried,
If there was a god a child did ever see,
You were the angel who stood beside me.

If I could ever replay those times,
wish I could see your face as I did when I was nine.
But then again innocence goes as the time flies by,
never to come back again no matter how hard we try.

Snuff it out of the closet we all try,
remember it just on last time before I lie
in my grave shout it out and cry
you were the first love that I remember as a child
and hope to be the last one before I die.
