This poem is about my relationship with my dad.
My Grande Façade

He has always seen me
As a weak middle son
Not able to stand up for myself
Always picking pointless fights

But he does not know
That I’m stronger than he thinks
That I can take care of
myself
That I don’t need his approval

He has always seen me
As a loyal son
As someone who cares about him
Someone who actually likes him

And he will never know
That I hate him with all my heart
That I never liked him at all
That I don’t care
