death of a loved one
Death

Why did you do this to me?
Left me here all alone
All because of that one thing
Smoking

I loved you like no other
You were like a father to me
Meant everything
My world

If only you were here what would you say?
If God can give life back to those who died
What would happen to you and me?

You were my best friend
Someone I lived with and enjoyed being around
Until those dark days
The days of death

Tears well up in my eyes
I can not bear thinking of you
For fear I should cry

As I write this people are near me
Yet it feels as if I am alone
I feel so warm and yet so cold

Died too early
Left me too soon
Wanted you near me longer
I guess all wishes don’t come true

I hold your belongings close to me
Next to my heart
I love you and always will
I will never forget you
And I will one day join you
In that place you call heaven
