a very brief piece on jealousy.
Like a hundred wings the rain sounds on the ground,
delivering life to the Ivy,
as it grows enviously up the trees to smother them.

The cloud goes to its next stop
leaving behind its passengers to tend the ivy
such green ivy it is..  running along the rocks
each tendril reaching out to spread rumors
stretching out of their way to tell the news.

Hear the applause in the distance
the thunder's mocking laugh.
He says, "Ah, you've all but defeated me.
You've left such a painful stitch in my side."
