A really creepy poem, about me in those moments when I become far too needy
I will consume you
It is a risk
You have always taken
Putting yourself
So complacently before me
And I will move swiftly
In our most tender of moments
When you least expect it.

I will begin with your fingers
Removing each crease and ring of flesh
In delicate bites
So that I may savor
The memory
Of your touch

I will take your eyes
So that I
May see myself
As you do:
Beautiful and fierce

I will take your lips
So that I may keep your smile
And the soft, passionate honesty
Of your kiss

I will take your heart
Only when I have reduced you
To pieces
Left errant and bleeding
Along the floor
That I may fully understand
The extent to which you love me
And in that moment
Fill that void
Within myself
