Written on the 4th anniversary of 911.
Frozen in time
This can’t be real
It must be a nightmare
America under attack
How can this be
It is all so surreal
In New York
A tower is struck
Thus beginning this nightmare
As smoke spread through the building
Chaos and disbelief took hold
Shortly thereafter
Another tower is struck
What in the world is happening here
Reports come out
The Pentagon is hit
Where will they strike next
For the first time in five years
Around the White House can be seen
The Secret Service carrying automatic rifles
Back in New York
A tower collapses
As a wall of smoke fills the air
Caught in a blizzard of ash and smoke
Which way to go
To get out of here
A plane headed towards DC
Crashes in PA
The first victory on the war on terrorism
Amidst all the chaos
Another tower collapses
Smoke and ash billowing through the streets
Throughout the world
The message is heard loud and clear
One nation stands forth
United and strong saying
We will not give way to fear
