A short poem written from prompt "Great first lines".
In the beginning...

I was void and without form until
you came and shaped me.
You created a clay face in which
to set my features.

You fashioned wide knowing eyes
to see what you thought I should
and beguile as you saw fit.

You pinched in an upturned nose
to look down on those you do
and wrinkle when you make me laugh.

You formed dew-drop ears
to hear your pleas and no one else's
and to sparkle with you gifts.

You crafted my mouth wide and full
to speak my mind when you allowed
and swallow you whole when you wanted.

Then you left, bored of this
incomplete creature.

Who only sees your vision.
Who only smells your scent.
Who only hears your voice.
Who only speaks your words.

I am made in your image.
