A Poem about seeing lifes struggles with the eyes of youthfulness
When Doubt Comes to Tea

I remember the times when Doubt would visit me,
Choosing a different mask, a varied guise, costume a plenty,
Doubts intentions were always the same,
To confuse, befuddle, and juggle my name,
I would resist, Doubt would persist,
Resist, Persist,
Doubt would Insist,
And I would enlist,
In his merry circus of befuddlement.

Then one day, it came to me in the wind,
The answer to the prancer,
'Bend and you shall be whole',
'Don't fend off and cajole',
'Hmm' I thought, 'What a marvellous wind this was!'
It sent shivers down my spine,
And tickled my heart in rhyme,
'Welcome Doubt and Doubt shall welcome you!'

So when Doubt next called by,
I resisted a little,
He persisted a little,
And then I smiled a little,
And He littled his guile.
I beamed some more,
And He stared back in awe,
It was the beginning of Spring for Doubt and I,
Things have never been so good before!

Now when Doubt comes for tea,
Aboard the merry vessel of me,
He plays his tricks and displays his wit,
And I smile back with benevolence lit,
And instead of telling me his stories of woe,
He listens to me,
Sipping his tea,
As I inspire his woe to glow with joy,
Yes, we laugh like friends now, Doubt and I!!
I'll tell you a secret, hes just a boy.
