Graduates of life
The petals of youth
have been ripped away
exposing the gruesome
truths of reality

The rose hues of glasses
have dimmed to clear
showing the painful
clarity of raw humanity

The brightness of innocence
has been squealched
leaving the puirty
for sake of rude vulgarity

We are no longer
a part of the pure
and believing, for
we are graduates of life.
