A fellow writer suggested it was hard to write an abcedarius with proper rhymes and meter
Anything a man can think
Beware, they're other views
Considering the myriad
Depending which you choose

Even though your point seems clear
Forgetting there are more
Gets you into trouble, and
Hints at being a bore.

If you want to share ideas
Just be sure - remember
Keep the other's point of view
Lest he yours dismember

More on this I cannot say
Nothing else comes to mind
Other than I do so wish
Perhaps shared points to find

Quitting this whole argument
Really makes much more sense
Since more agreement we'll find
Than reasons to dispense

Uncouth though my points may be
Very often yet I'll
Win over all opponents
e-Xtract a grudging smile

Your turn to speak - elucidate
Zero in on me - start the debate!

• A 26-line abcedarius poem, each line starting with a different letter.

• Written in abcb, 7-6-7-6 format. The last couplet is aa, 8-8.
