how i changed
innocence taken away
imaginary friend waiting to play
angel wings ripped apart
not a scent of a child's mind
left behind

broken heart, dark cold room
screams of pain
no one hears
dysfunctional mind
a twisted allusion

a monster in the next room
a demon in the attic
and a victim left to loom
drift away endure no more pain

run away little one
hide your twined face
your wicked expressions
under the bed

maybe in the closet
behind the shower curtain
grab the gun little one
just aim and shoot

grab the bat little one
just swing and don't miss
you can never hide
but you always try

cut all your golden locks
rip apart your frill socks
maybe under the table
or in the old fridge box

every turn you make
he is there
once more you may snap or break
just run little one
run and hide
