This poem was based on the night that I had watched my favorite teacher sing.
It started out with greetings and smiles,
Mrs.Jones was up there,
her face was lit with raidience,
my eyes focused not on the beauty she displayed,
but on the beauty her heart shone with.

As this musical played on,
I watched as she sang with the others,
her brown eyes darting from face to face in the crowd,
I swore she looked right at me,
my stomach turned into a knot.

I began to cry,
though I wasn't sure why,
I turned to kim who was sitting beside me,
she was also crying,
I guess she felt the presence of God too.

This truly is a Christmas Homecoming,
with the true meaning of Christmas,
letting God into hearts,
after you have learned about faith,
you'll never be the same!
