A poem about childhood memories.
I Remember my Dad's voice saying
"wear shoes" as I raced for the door
            those words went
                  unheard

    I Remember climbing so many
trees that my hands were raw
              and the many
          ant bites that went
                unnoticed

      I Remember riding bareback
for so long, that the sweat marks were
      permanently stained to my legs
                those stains were
                    unabashed

    I remember racing my horse
    across an open field,feeling as
free as the mount beneath me
                    feeling
                uncatchable

  I Remember making the coolest
        hide-outs in the world
      playing for hours on end
as the sun sank below the trees
                  -unbounded

      I Remember racing home
to try and beat the rise of the moon
              which was seemingly
                    unavoidable

  There is an innocence of
        imagination
A freedom only to be captured
                by the
        unhindered mind

                                    --vivacious
