Poem?Civil War
                              Mannass Creek
Slowly, they rose upon this ground
Oh, how hollow this can be;
Patiently, to listen for the crying
For many young men will never be
Death is rising; upon them for all to see
Onward,Onward what a command
Please Almighty, are we damned
Mannass Creek; your water runs crimson red.
Where the bodies of blue, and gray lay dead.
Cannon fire;booms loud and clear.
Many townspeople shudder with fear
More, and more the dead do mount.
Calavary, Infratry, soldiers of all
Why? Oh why? Still they fall.
Farther, Son.
Cousin, and Cousin
Now you lay side, by side
Where is thy brother; Where is thy family?
Mannass Creek is where they are.
Have grace upon them; and this wretched scar.
