Love and romance ends in death.
They sit together,
In close bonds.
She looks at him,
Her heart flutters off.
His hair a golden brown,
His eyes were silvery blue,
His face seems caring and strong,
His arms the same way too.
Together that night,
Under the night sky,
All is quiet,
They're alone.
He looks at her,
With his moonlit eyes,
And says in his own voice,
"I forever promise,
I'll always be there,
I'll never leave,
We will have life,
Us, together, forever."
She closes her eyes,
Leans in to kiss,
Her eyes snap open,
He was gone,
He was never there.
She placed the rose,
On the tombstone,
And stood to leave.
She looked at the stone,
Wishing he was there.
He had promised,
But he was gone,
She is forever alone,
A tear runs down her cheek,
She closes her eyes,
Seeing his face.
Wishing, just wishing,
For one last embrace.
