An account of success and failure based on my own experience.
Running In Circles

Running in circles, I begin to slow
Why try? My success won't even show
And I collapse back down, my soul ready to deplete
I try, and am thrown back on the street.

I'm done sitting in the stands
Time to fall back on my own plans
I look at the sky, see a bird fly
I wish I could soar high, my life I justify

I have my own tone, I walk alone
My success is homegrown
Don't hold me back
I have learned and am ready to attack

No longer will I follow
My past I try to swallow
I now have the key
You shall run behind me

Making my next move
I have developed my own groove
I try to forget, but I remember my past
I am first, now you are last
