Continuing from ||::-Numb-::||
Reaching out,
The lantern took a firm hold on me,
Never letting me look
At the cold stars,
The boiling rivers,
The undead forests,
The lucid flowers,
The black diamonds,
And the butterflies that stood still.

Nothing was bearable,
But this very light I followed
Without any ideas
Was my only concern.
To please it if it was bored,
To feed it if it was hungry,
To care for it when it fell ill,
To put it in a higher place
Above my own, and to serve it
If it willed.

Then, I glanced towards my heart and knew there was nothing.
