Continuation from ||::-Purgatory-::||
There it was,
That first taste of the Apple.
It fell lightly,
A succulent invitation,
Landing on the pads of coarse fingers

It weighed heavily;
My soul shattered into the shadow of doom.
Was I meant to?
Was it right?
I watched in horror as I bit into it
And tasted what was never meant to be tasted...

The incredible explosion of condemned freedom,
The complex intimacy of infinite knowledge,
The shocking impact of twisted morals
That blatantly exacted the fierce precision of hidden intentions.

A crazed feeling,
This ravenous monster,
Demanded release from its bondage,
A glutton for artificial wisdom,
The false pride in an unobtainable throne,
For the masochist's love of an all-knowing God.
All at once it bombarded my senses
As it smiled menacingly,
The Apple, smiling?

Howling with despaired anger,
I threw it,
Only to know
That it wasn't there at all.
