Being a quiet kid in high school gives me a lot of time to think.
Time seems to pass so slowly.
Sitting here in school,
Surrounded, yet still lonely.
To most I am thought a fool.
If only they would got to know me.
The real me, hidden by my apprehension.
Truly, they'd be surprised by what they see.
Most see my quietness as a decision.
Like I've decided to be unsocial,
And enjoy my time all alone.
Happy with the fact I am nonvocal.
But it kind of hurts, being unknown.
I guess that's just what I get.
Just someone here for all to forget.
