A poem on bullying, and how one feels afterwards.
You're the girl whose happiness shines brightly in her eyes
The only one who knows herself, the one with no disguise
The one who cares for everyone, perfect without a doubt
And yet I can remember - it was you that cast me out.

They think you know yourself, but all you know is how to lie
How to bring the world on your side and leave me out here to die
Your words are sweet as sugar, but the acid lies beneath
I can hear the hate in every word that slips between your teeth

I miss the way it used to be, when you left me alone
Back when there was no trace of hatred in your friendly tone
The others still adore you, for your kind and loving ways
But I cannot help but hate you, for the hell you've made my days

I will fight to break the cage you built, and someday I'll be free
Maybe someday it won't hurt when I think what you did to me
But no matter how long passes, let there never be a doubt
That my whole life, I'll remember - it was you that cast me out.
