a desperate couple makes a bargain.
The liliac fairy she dances sweet
In the woods of cherries meet
Her face is tan of coppers own
Her wings are gold of butterflies sown
Her dress is made of cricket legs
And the shells of robins eggs
Her wand of fig trees twisted root
Her scent is one of fire soot
She wanders the woods of near and far
To grant the wishes and heal the scars
But price she has for service good
Of equal worth of task you would
Ask that she perform for thee
The balance may bring harmony

The lover Marcus sought her out
Through France and Spain he looked about
He carried on him tightly wrapped
His lovely Sonia soul untrapped
Her ghost had sought to stay by side
Be resurrected from her hide
For child in her womb there was
Their son and daughter twins of truss

The traveled bout the mountains sides
And in their deepest lake divides
He and ghost and children dead
All of company been said
When on their search they found of all
A kelpie very wise and tall

A fairy is one that we seek
The legend lilac of the meek
Could you tell us where she's found
In this land of such abound

The kelpie turned to phantoms form
And to her he told with voice so worn

The fairy that you seek is close
In the cherry grove of most
But beware I warn you now
On debtors ways she frown

On the word of kelpies vice
The couple then did travel cise
In the cherries grid they found
The autumn fairies that dance around
On the throne of court wherein
The lilac fairy waited in
She raised her wings of monarch blades
Woven up with hair of virgin shades
She flew to meet the couple there
And see their offer made if fair

Phantom woman who corpse does ride
In living husbands arms of stride
What is it now that you both seek
That you would come in times of bleak

Marcus raised his corpse of bride
Pregnant with their twins inside
His phantom wife the offer spoke
As that husband would not choke

We come to you as time would tell
To seek to make our children well
Our family is need of heirs
And we are only children of theirs
Your price we know is high indeed
But we will pay whoever need

The fairy looked at unborn ween
And chose the price for parents seen

You wish your heirs then be made well
For kinds of father home you tell
That price you see is hard to say
For two lives be two lives must pay
But only one is now alive
A phantom soul does not make strive
A payment though I do thus see
One among your family
The girl or boy must be as mine
You husbands life is other dime

The wife then cried for children's fate
Her young ones time shed not debate

Are other payments there of type
that don't include my children's lype
Another life that y could trade
For both our babes to free be made

The fairy pondered moments twice
Then played out the newer dice

Yes m dear there is a way
But cost it is of type of pay
You must bring in week of time
Your parents heads, the thrones of rhine

The phantom bride then thought it through
And made her choice of debt she adeu

Very well my dear of fate
My parents I shall bring you late
In week of time we shall return
With the skulls of rulers urn
My husband shall remain with thee
And ensure our deal we see

The phantom then wet back to rhine
And did her work so very fine
Her mother in the lake she was found
We her boat had run aground
The water thought had done her in
But her neck was stubbed at end
Her father lost within his sleep
His breath unable he could keep
His guards discovered corpse in morn
With the head from neck was torn
Without the hairs or rulers be
The land then lost it's harmony
The rich of many ten would fight
All to down their neighbors might
The phantom that had a princess been
Did then return with heads so lean
She found the fairy waiting there
With her corpse and man aware

Your payment I do now provide
The heads of royal flesh abide
And now our children you shall save
As whitch was said the deal you gave

The lilac fairly took the parents heads
And nodded hers for going tread
She raised her hand and magic wand
To make her mischief go alond
The husband fell to earth a loss
And his wife passed on to cross
With spouse unto the other side
And not her children with to ride
From the corpse that wife once to tomb
Two of infants came out of dead womb

Our deal is fine and has been set
You infants live on earth beset
But in my keep they shall now be
And not for use by men you see
For I am need of heir too soon
My age is great and wrinkles bloom
Your children make a fine of pair
That work for me a lilacs heir
