A Poem on What History means to me
A dark and blurry, misinterpreted, vision of the past
Showing, ghostly figures, that quickly pass!
Just a page in a book, a lesson in a class
Or simple statements over looked, just a glimpse of the facts.

They tell us stories of war, but what do the casualties mean?
I know many died, but what does that actually mean?
It's a tragedy, and a disastrous thing;
We over look that these boys and girls, actually bleed

The texts puts thoughts and feelings put into our minds
But when we forget, no one reminds
Confined by the State, so our own visions are blind
They only want us to know what will get us by
