Just a poem about my deceased grandmother who I had a very tumultuous relationship with...
A million lives
Could never bring back your smile
A million years could never
Bring back your voice,
Yet, after years without you,
You're somehow still here with me...

Flooded with confusion
Are the gates that lock you deep inside and miles away...
And to think I never knew the reality of you
All along,
Still, how much I wish you knew I loved you

Because I loved you anyway,
My passion,
My love,
My pain...
I loved you anyway...

Bittersweet, our voices
Never quite said enough
And to think I could've loved you more
But couldn't tell you
All along...

Still I loved you anyway,
My passion,
My love,
My pain...
I really did, once
Love you anyway...
