A short poem I threw together. The hacks at poetry.com tell me it is a contest finalist.
"Flight of Fancy"

There's little to me.
No more than is seen.
Just a handful of stories
and a head full of dreams.

No more I feel needed,
though less would be cruel.
My fantasies free me,
release for my soul.

The lines that flow forth
from my mind to the page
grant me swift wings
to soar from dull cage.
